Introduction to Pattern Drafting (Nov 18 - Dec 9)

This is the perfect workshop for people who want to gain some basic pattern drafting skills and expand on their garment construction knowledge. You will learn how to draft a basic fitted skirt block to your own measurements, as well as fitting techniques to make your skirt pattern fit you perfectly and how to manipulate the pattern to create your own designs. You will leave with a you-sized skirt block, and the skills to get started in pattern drafting.

When: Mondays Nov 18 - Dec 9, 2 - 6pm (4 classes - 16 hrs instruction in total)

Group size: Maximum of 8 students

Age range: Adults 16+

Skill level: Suitable for those new to pattern drafting. Participants should understand basic garment sewing, including darts, and have experience working with a commercial pattern and seam allowances. If you are not quite there yet, please sign up for one of our learn-to-sew workshops first.

Supplies: All supplies included.
