Make a pair of sweatpants tailored to your measurements! Discover how using a serger can change your sewing practice.

In this class, students learn the basics of incorporating a serger sewing machine into your construction and gain the foundational skills of working with stretch fabric, including troubleshooting tension issues. We are using men’s and women’s patterns designed by Valley Sew (our own Julia Petley-Jones) that can be made with either a narrower “jogger” leg or a traditional wider leg. You can customizer further with an optional drawstring and choose either elastic, rib or hemmed cuffs.

When: (2 classes – 6 hrs instruction in total)

Time: 6:00 - 9:00pm

Group size: Maximum of 8 students

Age range: Adults 16+

Skill level: Suitable for sewists with basic sewing experience who know how to operate a home sewing machine.
